Kelley J Sullivan is a Bozeman native and self-taught mixed-media painter whose atmospheric landscapes and dreamscapes are shaped by the mountains, weather, textures, and quiet of Montana. Rooted in memory and remembrance, her work explores how people and places remain within us after a moment has passed, capturing not simply a place but the feeling of something remembered.

Working in layered acrylic, molding paste, charcoal, pencil, and drawn marks, Sullivan allows moons, distant horizons, trees, and small recurring figures to emerge and disappear through the surface. Her work moves between landscape and dreamscape, presence and absence.

Sullivan’s work has been exhibited throughout Montana and across the country and is held in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Her paintings have appeared in multiple art publications. She received first place for painting at the Ridgway Art Show in Colorado, the Emerging Artist award from Best of the Northwest in 2019, and was voted Bozeman’s #1 Visual Artist in 2022. She is represented by Cello Gallery in Bozeman and Corwin Galleries in Hamilton and is a member of the Montana Born Art Collective.
